I Recently came across some cool artwork of some Sesame Street characters in the roles of famous horror movie icons drawn by Isaac Bidwell, with the first and most iconic being Elmo as Freddy Krueger. Check out the Nightmare on Sesame Street artwork gallery below:
For those wondering, I’ll list out each of the Sesame Street characters depicted along with their corresponding horror movie icon:
- Elmo as Freddy Krueger from the Nightmare on Elm Street movies
- Bert as Michael Myers from the Halloween movies
- Snuffleupagus as Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th movies
- Telly Monster as what I presume is a Romero style zombie
- Praire Dawn as Regan MacNeil from The Exorcist
- Big Bird as Pinhead from the Hellraiser movies
- Ernie as Chucky from Child’s Play
- Grover wearing Oscars face as Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre
- Animal as the alien from The Thing
